Sitting room

The apartment is at the second floor (third floor in the USA), of the ancient and notable Palazzo Donatelli-Ricci. The palace has an elevator.

The apartment is appr. 65 sq. meters large (appr. 660 sq. feet). It is very quiet (silent), and bright, because the four windows face South-East where from the sun shines. The apartment has the original high vault (3.8 meters, 4 yd.) coffered ceilings with wooden beams. The door is armored (an additional security measure, although Rome is a very safe town), and the intercom has a security camera to see with whom one speaks.

The apartment has quality furniture (antiques) and fittings, revealing the fine taste of the proprietors. All the floors are covered by moquette (a carpet covering all surfaces), and moreover there are nice carpets. All the walls are endowed with fine wallpaper.

After the front door one finds the fine sitting / dining room (top photo). It includes two large double sofa beds, a fine table with chairs for four persons, a round table with a lamp near the windows, a rack with colour TV and TV recorder. The two windows face the quiet side street (Vicolo Sugarelli). Many fine paintings of old masters and prints adorn the room. The large painting between the windows in particular is by M. Maglieri, with a battle scene.

Through a little and well appointed passage space (right photo) one reaches the bedroom and the bathroom (door in the background). It includes an old clock, a clothes hook, and a carpet.

Bedroom

The double bedroom is silent.

Like the sitting room, it also has two windows facing the quiet side street. The windows have also double glazing (double glasses), as thermic protection, and also as an additional silence measure.
The room includes a full size bed, a wooden wardrobe, bed side tables with lamps, a little table between the windows (with four little wooden statues), and a set of shelves including vases and a stereo (CD and cassette player, radio). Fine paintings of old masters adorn this room too. They can be better seen in the opposite photo.
