What can be more quintessential of Rome than a penthouse with a terrace with direct view of Rome's iconic Trevi Fountain, probably the world's most beautiful fountain?

The penthouse is very quiet, because it is located in a silent little alley ("Vicolo del Forno" or Oven's alley) starting directly from the fountain. So you have the best of both worlds: literally at the corner with direct view of Rome's most cherished fountain, which is also near the Spanish Steps, another Rome's icon - and on the other hand quiet despite the highly central, desirable location. In fact there is no motor nor pedestrian circulation, and also the palaces of the alley are quiet.

After visiting Rome's wonders, and after having watched its most inspiring sights, imagine yourself just turning in a little cozy alley at the corner of the Trevi Fountain and finding your quiet attic ome with patio overlooking Rome's roofs and the fountain.

From the sitting room one enters the terrace (appr. 6 meters x 6 meters or 6.6 x 6.6 yds.), which has views of the roofs of Rome, and also of part of the Trevi fountain. Click here, to learn more about the Trevi Fountain, and the neighbourhood of the apartment.

The terrace has many vases with plants (including a small olive tree and a small medlar tree), a small table with chairs to dine "al fresco".

One of the fine features of this attic is that it includes a kitchen corner directly in the terrace, to cook literally "al fresco" your meals, without having to go back and forth to the kitchen of the apartment each time.

The cupboards of the adjoining sitting-dining room include dishes, glasses, cutlery, cups etc., so everything you need to cook are is within easy reach.

The penthouse is situated at the second floor (it would be the third floor in the USA) with *elevator*. 

It comprises a bedroom, a sitting room with two-sofa beds, a ktchen and a bathroom. The layout is original, in that the apartment itself is situated in three different levels, which are reached through two small internal flights of stairs. At the entrance one finds the bedroom. Through the first wooden flight of stairs (only a few steps) one reaches the level with the kitchen and bathroom.

Through another small wooden flight of stairs one reaches the sitting-dining room.

The sitting room is divided in two areas: one is the proper sitting area, which leads to the terrace. This area also includes bookshelves and cupboard with dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. for the kitchenette of the sitting room. The sitting area also includes fine table lamps, a colour TV set (Italian only channels presently), and a small stereo.

The other area includes two sofa beds, bookshelves with fine books.
