Spanish Steps (Via della Croce): "Leonardo" Master bedroom, master bathroom, second corridor and kitchen
We dedicated three pages to this fine and large apartment. Please click the underscored text:
(1) floor plan, foyer, first corridor,
sitting room and patio.
(2) master bedroom, master bathroom, second corridor and
kitchen (this page).
(3) third corridor, single
bedroom, second bathroom and second double bedroom.
This fine apartment is situated in the very heart of Rome,
at the second floor of a vintage "palazzo". There
is no elevator but the stairs are very easy to climb. The
apartment is 140 sq. Mts. large (app. 1,400 sq. Ft.). Moreover
there is a 50 sq. Mts. patio (app. 500 sq.Ft.). The apartment
is bright, and extremely quiet (a find in Rome). Via della
Croce on the contrary is lively, although only pedestrians
are allowed. It includes characteristic restaurants, trendy
cafes, fashionable boutiques and cosy grocery stores.
The master bedroom is ample. It includes a king-size bed upholstered according to Louis 16th, with on top a fine and large tapestry. The bedside tables are made of mahogany with bronze trimmings, just like the chest of drawers.

In this opposite photo you can see
the remaining elements of the room: the chest of drawers,
a comfortable armchair upholstered with yellow velvet,
a crystal chandelier, a sofa (following King Louis
16th style), and fine paintings.
As shown in the photos, two wooden doors lead to
the sitting room. Both rooms have though own doors (i.e.
a third door), and so can be accessed separately. Like all the rooms, the
master bedroom includes air conditioning
and wall mounted ventilator (with speed regulator) generating
a pleasant breeze.

The sitting-dining room and the master bedroom are flanked to the side by the second corridor of the apartment. It is bright (with
two windows) and elegant, and through it one can enter the master
bedroom (its door can be seen in the above photos of this room),
the master bathroom (door to the right), and the sitting room
(door to the left). The master bathroom has a bathtub and hand-held
shower, a large sink, the bidet and the toilet. It has its own
window. The taps, the shower knobs, and the shower are made
of very fine chiseled brass. The bathroom, having its own window,
has also walnut paneling, and it hence very elegant. Recently, one the side of the bathtub and of the shower, the wooden paneling was changed with marble, as it is war resistant.
The kitchen can be found at the middle of the first
corridor (look also photo of the first corridor in the
first page and the floor map).
It is coated with Vietri ceramics, and it has wooden lacquered
furniture. It includes a brand new Philips "Whirlpool"
fridge, new fires with oven, and a washing machine.
It is fully equipped to cook (pots, pans, dishes etc.).
The kitchen includes also two Italian coffee pots, a big
American coffee pergulator (up to 10 cups), and a tea kettle.
